For more than 50 years, True Value Rental of Bay City has proudly provided reliable equipment rentals, tool rentals, party rentals, and exceptional customer service to homeowners, contractors, businesses, and community organizations throughout Bay City, Michigan, and the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Every family business has a beginning. Ours began with a leap of faith.

After serving four years in the United States Navy as a radioman, my stepfather built a successful career maintaining keypunch machines for Burroughs Corporation in Southern California. As technology rapidly evolved, he recognized the industry was changing and that the future of keypunch equipment was limited. Rather than wait for change to happen, he and my mother made the courageous decision to build something of their own.

In the fall of 1971, they purchased a turnkey rental business in Bay City and opened United Rent-All. Their mission was simple: provide dependable rental equipment, offer honest advice, treat every customer with respect, and deliver the kind of service that keeps people coming back.

That commitment became the foundation of everything we do.

As our community grew, so did our business. In 1992, United Rent-All became Grand Rental Station, expanding our inventory to better serve homeowners, contractors, landscapers, event planners, local businesses, and community organizations across Mid-Michigan. In 2017, we proudly became True Value Rental of Bay City, combining the strength of a nationally recognized brand with the same locally owned, family-operated business our customers have trusted for generations.

Today, I'm honored to carry that legacy forward as the second generation of ownership.

While our inventory has evolved dramatically over the past five decades, our values remain unchanged. Today, our rental inventory includes equipment for contractors, homeowners, landscaping projects, renovations, moving, cleaning, lawn and garden maintenance, concrete work, and special events. We also offer a wide selection of party rental equipment to help make weddings, graduations, birthdays, company events, and community celebrations successful.

For more than half a century, we've had the privilege of serving multiple generations of families throughout Bay City and the surrounding communities. Many of the customers who first walked through our doors in the 1970s now send their children—and even their grandchildren—to us when they need dependable rental equipment and trusted advice.

That kind of loyalty isn't something we take for granted.
